Short Term Memory

Can you really believe anything Joe Lieberman says?

After watching selected highlights from the RNC tonight, I was let down. I really thought that after all the hype that Governor Palin would have given an incredible speech. A few times I forgot why she was even talking. I had to remind myself that if McCain is elected she WILL be the next president (I doubt that McCain makes the four years). Who cares about her foreign experience, how about her lack of any type of experience? Eighteen months as the Governor of Alaska? Here is what Carl Rove had to say about Vice Presidential experience when Governor Tim Kaine was on Obama's short list as VP

I wonder where the town Gov. Palin was Mayor fits in with the rest of Americas cities? I doubt it's 110th! Poor Tim Kaine only has three years of experience as the governor of Virgina thats almost the same as 18 months of being the governor of Alaska. It is the largest state of the nation.

The RNC tonight was like watching the republican primary debates a few months ago, except this time they just replaced their own names with McCain. McCain hasn't been a maverick since he handed his manhood to bush 8 years ago. In '04 the republicans tore down a Vietnam vet, and made clear that serving in the military was not a prerequisite of being president. Eight years ago the bush campaign turned the fact that McCain was a POW against him and convinced enough people that it was a bad thing. Now his military and POW experience is what qualifies McCain for president?

Can you honestly say that Barak Obama has experience in anything? How long has he been in the Senate? How about military (not a second)? How about anything besides being able to pander to the general public and tell them poor masses what they want to hear (come get something for doing nothing!!).

The republicans are the champions at telling the masses what they want to hear. They are so good at it that they often change their story without the masses noticing.

What does military experience have to do with it? McCain served IN the military he did not lead. The republicans have already shown in the last two presidential elections that military service doesn't mean anything and that being a POW is a bad thing.

What we have today is the option of "Bad" or "Worse". Neither one of these yahoos are trustworthy, qualified, or legitimate leaders of our nation. The system is pathetic when these are the "BEST" two candidates we can come up with. I'll throw my vote to the independents this time around just so that I don't have to take a shower after I vote... or try to buy my soul back.
